SCOPE
Thermal & Moisture Protection + General Conditions

Project description
This project at Florida International University’s CasaCuba facility involved a comprehensive scope of thermal and moisture protection systems, along with essential general construction requirements. The estimate covered multiple structural and finishing elements critical to ensuring durability, weather resistance, and long-term performance of the building envelope.
The scope included extensive sealant work across sidewalks, walls, storefronts, doors, and expansion joints. These components are essential in preventing water infiltration, accommodating structural movement, and maintaining airtight seals throughout the building. Special attention was given to high-exposure areas such as fenestrations, ensuring proper waterproofing at jambs, sills, and heads.
In addition to sealants, the project included large-scale waterproofing applications across bathrooms, powder rooms, terraces, roofing systems, elevator pits, and slab-on-grade (SOG) areas. These systems were designed to protect structural integrity, prevent moisture damage, and ensure compliance with modern construction standards for commercial buildings.
