Project description
This project involved the comprehensive ground-up construction of a new Wawa Market and fueling station. The scope began with extensive site preparation, including land clearing, grading, and the implementation of a complex stormwater management system to ensure environmental compliance. The building itself was designed as a high-traffic retail space, requiring robust structural integrity and high-end exterior finishes consistent with Wawa’s corporate branding.
The final estimate delivered a complete financial roadmap, highlighting potential cost-saving opportunities in material procurement without compromising on quality. By utilizing advanced software, we were able to provide a granular breakdown of labor and material costs, ensuring that the transition from the design phase to the vertical construction phase was seamless and budget-conscious.
Additionally, the project incorporated advanced electrical provisions such as TV/data points, heated mirror systems, kitchen appliance connections, and outdoor lighting features. The takeoff was structured to support precise cost calculation, covering labor and material components, along with provisions for contingencies and contractor overheads, making it suitable for bid-level submission.
